Congratulations, you might be dealing with a micromanager! Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Micromanagers are like the overzealous personal trainers of the workplace—constantly hovering, offering unsolicited advice, and ensuring you’re performing your tasks exactly their way.

  4. Build Trust: Demonstrate your competence and reliability through your work. The more you prove you’ve got things under control, the less they’ll feel the need to intervene.

  5. Seek Feedback: If you need to address the micromanagement directly, do so with tact. Request feedback on how you’re performing and discuss how you can improve while managing the need for autonomy.
